DDGDVC LIBRARY: Library Team Development Programme (LTDP)

Programme Objectives:

To introduce Word Press as a content management system (CMS) and provide them with a basic understanding of its features an functionalities.

To learn about the specific requirements and functionalities needed for a library web portal, such as catalog management, search functionality, user accounts, event management, and resource sharing.

To integrate various library services into the web portal, such as online catalog access, e-book Access, event registration

Programme Outcomes:

The LTDP aims to empower the team members with the necessary skills to create and manage a robust library web portal using WordPress, ultimately enhancing library services, user experience, and resource sharing capabilities.

Report:

Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College Library organized the 14th Library Team Development Programme (LTDP). Library Team Development Programme (LTDP) on the topic “Creation of Library Web Portal using WordPress" presented by Mr.V.Radhakrishnan, Librarian, T. S.Srinivasan Centre for Polytechnic College and Advanced Training (CPAT-TVS) Vanagaram, Chennai on 22.07.2023 at 10.30 am at our Library.

The welcome address was delivered by Ms.C.Premakumari, Assistant Librarian, DDGD Vaishnav College. Dr.M.Mani, Librarian, introduce the resource person. Dr.S.Santhosh Baboo, Principal, DDGD Vaishnav College, Delivered a Presidential address. Dr.P.Arularasan, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, honored the resource person. The resource person Mr.V.Radhakrishnan took over the session and gave a detailed lecture on Creation of Library Web Portal Using Wordpress. The session concluded with Vote of thanks by Mr.I.Noorul Hasan, LAT DDGD Vaishnav College.
