Competition on Art from Waste - 02.03.2023

Outcome:
The competition on “Art from Waste” was conducted to inculcate the idea of going green in the minds of the students in order to eradicate the use of plastics, global warming, the optimum use of natural resources and extreme climatic conditions. As a result, the students have understood the eminence of protecting the environment, adopting to the concept of reduce, reuse and recycle and to follow the slogan, “Go Green, Breathe Clean”.

Report:
Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College, Library & NDLI Club organized and conducted a Competition on “Art From Waste” with the theme ‘Go Green’ on 02.03.2023 at 02.30 pm in DDGDVC Library. The competition was conducted for the NDLI Club Members of DDGDVC. The competition was judged by Ms. R. Shalini Priscilla, Assistant Professor, Department of English (Shift II), DDGD Vaishnav College and Dr. K. Tamilselvi, Assistant Professor, Department of Accounting and Finance, DDGD Vaishnav College. The gathering was welcomed by Dr. P. Suresh, NDLI Club President and Assistant Professor, Department of English (Shift I), DDGDVC. All the teams performed well and it was highly appreciated by our judges. They enlightened the participants on the importance of going green to ensure a livable, eco-friendly and pollution free planet for future generations. In total, thirty six students participated in the competition and the top three teams were awarded. All the participants were given participation certificates.
