Unleashing the Power of Knowledge: A Workshop on Mastering EBSCOhost on 10.02.2025

 

Objective:

• Familiarise participants with the features and functions of Ebsco Business Source Elite, for academic research in the field of business and management.
• Provide practical training in advanced search techniques and curating methods for obtaining efficient and precise results.
• Assist participants in navigating the extensive database collection of business resources.

Outcome:

• Acquire a deep knowledge of Ebsco Business Source Elite and its research capabilities.
• Enhance the effective use of the database resources for academic endeavours.
• Integrate high quality resources into research activity.

Dwarka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College Library & NDLI Club conducted an “Unleashing the Power of Knowledge: A Workshop on Mastering EBSCOhost” on 10.02.2025 at 03.00 pm in the SRG Auditorium. The workshop was attended by 403 participants. Welcome Address was given by Dr.J.Shyam Sundar, Assistant Professor & Head i/c, Department of Commerce (Shift II). Presidential address delivered by Dr. S. Santhosh Baboo, Principal, DDGD Vaishnav College. Dr.T.Velmurugan, Associate Professor, Department of MCA and Mr.G. Ramkumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce (Shift II) delivered the keynote address. As a token of our appreciation and gratitude, the guests of honour Dr.T.Velmurugan, Associate Professor, Department of MCA and Mr.G.Ramkumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce (Shift II) were felicitated by Dr.S.Santhosh Baboo, Principal for their years of dedicated service at DDGDVC. The resource person Dr.R.Periyasamy Pradeep, Mentor, EBSCO IEEE. Technopreneur, Angel Investor, Chennai was honoured by Dr.T.Velmurugan, Associate Professor, Department of MCA. The resource person was introduced to the gathering by Dr.M.Mani, Librarian. The session aimed at familiarising the features and functions of EBSCO Business Source Elite, for academic research. Hands on training was extended to advanced search techniques and efficient methods for obtaining results with precision. The event concluded with a question and answer session. The vote of thanks was rendered by Dr.P.M.Rameshkumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce (Shift II).
