Objective:
- To enable students to understand
the rich cultural traditions relating to discourses on life and its purpose,
instilling of values relating to ethical and moral propriety.
- To make students more engaged with the past traditions of the country and to enhance the students’ knowledge and understanding on Ancient Indian Epics, Culture & Values relating to their course of study.
- Helps students to appreciate the traditions of diversity, discussions, debates and knowledge transmission.
- Students will develop an overview of indigenous philosophies.
- Awareness and understanding of the rich Indian heritage leading to greater sensitivity.
- Inspires students to creative thinking and to inculcate best practices from history to deal with contemporary issues.

Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College, Library & NDLI Club conducted a Competition
on “Mahakavyatah Pauranika Pathah Presentation
on Lessons from Ancient Indian Tradition” on 04.02.2025 at 01.30 pm in DDGDVC
Library. The competition was conducted for the NDLI Club Members of DDGDVC. The
competition was judged by Dr.R.Sundari, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce,
DDGD Vaishnav College. The gathering was welcomed by Dr.M.Mani, NDLI Club
Secretary and Librarian, DDGDVC. The event provided a platform for the students
to understand our rich heritage and tradition. This event enabled the
participants to gain a deeper understanding of Indian tradition and the
importance of preserving our traditional practices. Forty six students
presented in the power point presentation of lessons from ancient Indian
tradition. The PPT was lauded by the Judge for its multiple themes and
effective presentation.
