Mahakavyatah Pauranika Pathah on 04.02.2025

Objective:

To enable students to understand the rich cultural traditions relating to discourses on life and its purpose, instilling of values relating to ethical and moral propriety.
To make students more engaged with the past traditions of the country and to enhance the students’ knowledge and understanding on Ancient Indian Epics, Culture & Values relating to their course of study.
Helps students to appreciate the traditions of diversity, discussions, debates and knowledge transmission.

Outcome:

Students will develop an overview of indigenous philosophies.
Awareness and understanding of the rich Indian heritage leading to greater sensitivity.
Inspires students to creative thinking and to inculcate best practices from history to deal with contemporary issues.

Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College, Library & NDLI Club conducted a Competition on “Mahakavyatah Pauranika Pathah Presentation on Lessons from Ancient Indian Tradition” on 04.02.2025 at 01.30 pm in DDGDVC Library. The competition was conducted for the NDLI Club Members of DDGDVC. The competition was judged by Dr.R.Sundari, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, DDGD Vaishnav College. The gathering was welcomed by Dr.M.Mani, NDLI Club Secretary and Librarian, DDGDVC. The event provided a platform for the students to understand our rich heritage and tradition. This event enabled the participants to gain a deeper understanding of Indian tradition and the importance of preserving our traditional practices. Forty six students presented in the power point presentation of lessons from ancient Indian tradition. The PPT was lauded by the Judge for its multiple themes and effective presentation.

Intra - Collegiate Photography Competition on 30.01.2025

Objective:

To understand students perspective on the education system.
To promote value based reading culture among students.
To allow students to explore the role of education in culture and its impact on quality of life.

Outcome:

This initiative will help in refining our curriculum and support student growth.
Encouraging reading habits will broaden the students’ knowledge beyond the curriculum.
Inspire and motivate participants to continue pursuing photography as a hobby or profession.

Report:

Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College, Library & NDLI Club conducted a Competition on “Intra - Collegiate Photography Competition” on 30.01.2025 at 02.00 pm in DDGDVC Library. The competition was conducted for the NDLI Club Members of DDGDVC. The competition was judged by Ms.C.Nandhini, Assistant Professor, Department of Visual Communication, and Mr.P.Ganesan, Technical Faculty, Department of Visual Communication, DDGD Vaishnav College. The gathering was welcomed by Dr.M.Mani, NDLI Club Secretary and Librarian, DDGDVC. The event provided a platform for the students to showcase their photography skills, creativity and perspective. This event helped the students to showcase their exceptional talent and creativity of the student photographer. Twenty one students participated in the competition and the top three participants were awarded. All the participants were given participation certificates.
