Library Team Development Programme (LTDP) - 8 on 14.05.2022
- To know the various web-based learning platforms to earn the Professional and Skill based certifications.
- To Know the advantage of eLearning and the importance of skill-based training online courses.
- To improve/update the library and information professionals’ skills through MOOC especially recent development/trend in library field.
Programme Outcome:
- The Library Team members should know about the SWAYAM, NPTEL Course platforms and also will get awareness about How to register for a course / exam?
- The library team should be aware of the LIS professionals’ courses from the ALA, OCLC, WIPO Academy, Google Web Academy courses etc.
- The library team members should be multifaceted so that they can help others subject specialist also.

Webinar on Major Activities of INFLIBNET Centre on 07.05.2022
Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College Library organized a webinar on “Major Activities of INFLIBNET Centre” on 07.05.2022 at 03.15p.m. by Mr.Raja Visvanathan, Scientist-C(CS), INFLIBNET Centre, IUC of University Grant Commission (UGC), Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The Chief Guest for the Webinar was Dr. G. Rathinasababathy, University Librarian, Tamilnadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TANUVAS), Chennai. The Webinar started with the welcome address by Dr. M.Mani, Librarian, Shift I, DDGDVC, Chennai and the Presidential address was delivered by Dr.S.Santhosh Baboo, Principal, DDGDVC. Mrs. T.Sujatha Rammohan Librarian, Shift II, DDGDVC, Chennai introduced the Chief Guest and Ms. D.Abirami, Assistant Librarian, DDGDVC, Chennai introduced the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest address was delivered by Dr.G.Rathinasababathy who briefed the participants about the importance of the research and how they can tap various resources and research tools.
The resource person Mr.Raja Visvanathan
briefed participants on how to use the INFLIBNET resources like N-List, Shodhganga etc. He explained
the students how the resources will help them in their research activities.The
session ended with Vote of thanks by Mr.M.Vigneshwaran, Library Assistant,
DDGDVC.

User Awareness Programme on E-Resources 13.04.2022
Outcome
The session is aimed at Criminology and Police Administration students to create awareness of the NDLI Club and how to become member and get benefited. The awareness programme will help in the increase of the member database and will increase the usage of the resources available in the NDLI portal.
