various schemes of library classification (DDC, UDC, CC).
- Recognise the purpose and use of cataloguing.
- Understand cataloguing procedures using CCC, AACR II, and other standards.
- Gain foundational knowledge of technical processing and their significance.

Library organized the 21st Library Team Development Programme (LTDP)
on the topic “Systematic Technical Processing in Libraries” presented by Dr.V.Sugandhi,
Assistant Technical Officer, University Library, University of Madras, Chennai on
26.09.2026 at 10.00 am at our Library.
The welcome address was delivered by Mr.D.Rajiniganth,
Library Assistant. Dr.M.Mani, Librarian, provided an introduction and extended
formal recognition to the distinguished resource person. The resource person, Dr.V.Sugandhi,
took over the session and provided a comprehensive lecture on "Systematic
Technical Processing in Libraries". The session concluded with vote of
thanks by Mr.M.Vigneshwaran, Library Assistant, DDGD Vaishnav College. Master
of the ceremony for this programme was Mr.I.Noorul Hasan, Assistant Librarian.
