Vegetable / Fruit Carving Competition on 30.01.2026

 

Objectives:

  • To encourage creativity, skill, and teamwork among students while providing a fun-filled educational experience.
  • To improve their artistic expression and develop their creativity by giving free expression to their imagination.
  • To provide a platform for individuals to express their unique artistic ideas and push the boundaries of traditional carving techniques, fostering innovation in food art.

Outcome:

  • The competition will yield a collection of creative, aesthetically pleasing carvings that can inspire others and demonstrate the artistic possibilities within the culinary domain.
  • The entries can serve as a record of current trends and skill levels in fruit and vegetable carving.

Report:
Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College, Library & NDLI Club conducted a “Vegetable / Fruit Carving Competitionon” 30.01.2026 at 02.00 pm in DDGDVC Library. The competition was conducted for the NDLI Club Members of DDGDVC. The competition was judged by Dr.A.Sugantha, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics, DDGD Vaishnav College. The gathering was welcomed by Dr.M.Mani, NDLI Club Secretary and Librarian, DDGDVC. All the teams performed well and it was highly appreciated by our judge. The event provided a platform for students to foster their creativity, time management, and decision-making skills, while encouraging them to explore hidden artistic talents through the medium of fresh produce. The top three teams were awarded cash prizes. All the participants were given participation certificates.

Competition on “Flameless Cooking with Millets” on 28.01.2026

 

Objectives:

  • The competition aims to encourage creativity, innovation, and healthy eating habits among students by showcasing their ability to prepare delicious fireless cooking dishes using millets.
  • To create awareness about the nutritional value of food cooked without flame, the necessity and advantages of healthy eating and to encourage everyone to stay away from junk food.
  • To help them explore the art of cookery and discover new areas of interest.

Outcome:

  • This competition not only promotes the use of millets in healthy cooking but also encourages the development of culinary skills among students.
  • The nutritional value of food cooked without flame.
  • The necessity and advantages of healthy eating.
  • The importance of good hygiene.
