Objective:
- Helps the students of our college to improve their wide range of creative thinking
- Enriches the students to express their emotions with esthetics in the form of writing
- Motivates and understands them to handle the nuances of writing in innumerable genres.
Outcome:
- Helps the students in understanding the literary composition and actively engages them in the process of writing
- Enables them to pay particular attention to voice, style, form, language, and techniques of writing.
- Improves a poem in various parameters such as stanza structure, rhythm and various poetic forms too.
Event Report:
The Library and NDLI Club
and Department of Tamil organized Book Release and Review function of the book “Kaviula”
on 04.01.2023.The programme focused on the aspects and significance of writing
books to motivate the students to widen the arena of writing in various genres.
The welcome address was delivered by Dr.P.Murugan, Head, Department of Tamil,
Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College. The presidential address was
delivered by Dr.S.Santhosh Baboo, Principal. Bala Sahitya Puraskar Awardee Mr.Murugesh,
Senior Sub Editor, Hindu Tamil Thisai Newspaper, was the guest speaker and released
the book. The oath on the prominence of reading was taken by the
students. The book reviewed by Dr.C.Sadhanandan, Assistant Professor,
Department of Tamil and the vote of thanks was given Dr.M.Mani, Librarian and
NDLI Club Secretary. The main objective of the programme was to enable students
to gain a wide knowledge on the importance of reading and motivate the
listeners to write books. The programme concluded with a question and answer
session. The programme was highly informative and interactive.
