Objectives:

• To motivate students to utilise NDLI for their academic and research needs.
• To notify students about the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) and its vast collection of educational resources.
• To Increase the number of library users by creating awareness about NDLI and NDLI clubs benefits.

Outcome:

• Develop and cultivate the student's latent talents and abilities through a variety of diverse resources and activities.
• Improve the academic performance of the students by leveraging NDLI resources for their coursework and research.
• Increase in the registration of users on the NDLI portal for effective utilisation of NDLI resources.

The Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College Library and NDLI Club conducted a session titled "Empower Your Learning: NDLI Awareness Programme & Student Registration Drive" on 27^th November 2025 at 10:00 a.m. The session was led by Ms.J.Sangeetha and Mr.I.Noorul Hasan, Assistant Librarian of DDGDVC. The event commenced with a welcoming address, during which the presenters provided a comprehensive overview of the NDLI portal, highlighting its extensive range of resources and detailing how students can effectively leverage these tools for their academic research activities. Additionally, the session included information on the registration process for the DDGDVC NDLI Club, opportunities for participation in various activities, and guidance on how to obtain certificates.

Outreach Programme on Building a Reading Culture in Schools 15.10.2025

• Enhanced comprehensive skills.

Report:

The outreach programme was conducted to enhance literacy skills and instill a lifelong lesson for reading among school students. In an effort to foster a culture of reading and literacy among young students, an outreach programme was conducted to the students of Chennai Middle School engaged in activities and interactive sessions conducted. The programme focused on improving reading fluency and promoted inclusive and equitable literacy practices. This outreach programme marked a significant step toward cultivating strong reading habits among school children.
