Library Team Development Programme (LTDP) - 20 on 23.08.2025
- To enhance the capacity of library staff in assisting research scholars and faculty with research support services.
- To introduce effective strategies for literature search.
- To equip library staff with knowledge on various research tools such as reference management, plagiarism, and research visibility tools.
- Strengthen their role as research support facilitators, actively assisting faculty and students in directing and utilizing scholarly resources.
- Effectively access and guide users in using academic resources.
- Support users in conducting structured literature searches by applying keyword strategies, Boolean logic and databases.
Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College Library organized the 20th Library Team Development Programme (LTDP) on the topic “Empowering Library Team for Research Support Services: Focus on Literature Search and Scholarly Discovery" presented by Mr.N.Rajkumar, Library and Information Assistant, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli on 23.08.2025 at 10.00 am at our Library.
The welcome address was delivered by Mr.M.Vigneshwaran,
Library Assistant. Dr.M.Mani, Librarian, introduce the resource person. Dr.S.Santhosh
Baboo, Principal, Delivered a Presidential address and honored the resource
person. The resource person, Mr.N.Rajkumar, took over the session and provided
a comprehensive lecture on "Empowering Library Team for Research Support
Services: Focus on Literature Search and Scholarly Discovery". The session
concluded with vote of thanks by Mr.D.Rajiniganth, Library Assistant, DDGD
Vaishnav College. Master of the ceremony for this programme was Mr.I.Noorul
Hasan, Assistant Librarian.

- As an educated individual in the society of India, I commit that I shall read and make others around me especially children to read at least one hour in a day and also one book in a month.
- I assure that I will present books as gift and also request others to do it.
- I shall work to spread this message with young students and parents to create a knowledge society.

National Digital Library of India (NDLI): User Awareness & Enrollment Session on 23.07.2025
- To educate participants about the NDLI, highlighting its purpose, and benefits as a free and accessible online learning platform.
- To provide guidance on effectively registering for an NDLI account, searching for relevant resources, utilising filtering options, and navigating the platform’s user friendly interface.
- To assist new users in the registration process helping them successfully create their individual NDLI and NDLI Club accounts.
- A significant increase in the number of registered NDLI users from the target audience.
- Participants will acquire practical skills for navigating and utilising digital libraries, applicable to other online information resources as well.
- Participants will develop a deeper understanding of NDLI’s value and will feel more empowered to use the platform independently.
